Taggiasca
A cold-resistant, oil-producing varietal from Liguria, Taggiasca is noted for its high oil-extraction yields. The fruit is of medium size and ripens later. Taggiasca is self-pollinating but will benefit from cross-pollination from other Italian cultivars. It is genetically and morphologically similar to Frantoio.
