Nocellara del Belice
This Sicilian varietal is truly dual-purpose. The brine-cured, green olives (akin to Castelvetrano) are popular in many markets and the oil is delicate and fruity. The large, freestone fruit ripens late; this varietal comes into bearing early. Pendolino trees are good pollinators for Nocellara del Belice.
