Kalamon
This Greek variety, commonly referred to as Kalamata, can be used for oil but is recognized for its exceptional curing olives. Its high productivity is punctuated with alternate tendencies that can be minimized with pruning and irrigation. Production is much better in hotter climates. The leaves are wavy and wide with a distinct contrast between the dark upper side of the leaf and the light underside.
