Purchasing Olive Trees

Our extra virgin olive oil is comprised of six Italian olives each grown for its part in our carefully blended annual release, the Traditional blend. Each varietal plays a role in our disctinct Tuscan-style oil; Frantoio and Leccino comprise 85% of the the blend, giving the oil its green fruit notes and pungent characteristics, while the Maurino, Pendolino, Leccio del Corno and Coratina give the oil balance and depth.

In addition to these six varietals, our Nursery team grows over 40 other olive cultivars at the ranch, all grown specifically to yield superior olive oil and table olives. Our trees are well-suited to large-scale orchard plantings or singly-placed landscape focal trees, and they're available wholesale directly from the ranch with a $1000 minimum tree purchase, in our San Francisco Ferry Building shop or throughout the Bay Area through our retailer partners listed below:
